德島大學應用化學系杉山 茂(Shigeru Sugiyama)教授兼工程學院副院長、以及德島大學尖端工程研究中心主任(Director of Center for Frontier Research of Engineering),研究十分出色,將於今年暑假8/27~8/31來化工系短期密集授課,將涵蓋觸媒反應與磷回收如何達成節約能源與節約資源目的。課程名稱為節約能源與節約資源技術(Energy & Resources Saving Technology) (課號:CH5417701),1學分18小時,不需收學分費。歡迎大家報名參加。

Dr. Shigeru Sugiyama is currently professor of Department of Applied Chemistry and Associate Dean of College of Engineering.
He also serves as the Director of Center for Frontier Research of Engineering.

The course "Energy & Resources Saving Technology" will cover catalysis and resource recovery engineering:
1. History of catalysts
2. Homogeneous reaction and suspension reaction in liquid phase
3. Fixed-bed and fluid-bed reactors and flow reactor
4. Solid state catalysts (1): acidic and basic catalysts
5. Solid state catalysts (2): composite oxide catalysts and the design of the catalysts
6. Supports: role of the support, interaction between the catalyst and the support, and various supports
7. Catalyst preparation: hydrothermal synthesis, gas-phase preparation and solid-phase preparation
8. Characterization (1): Specific surface area, dispersion, acidity, and basicity
9. Characterization (2): IR, electron microscope, XRD, and X-ray fluorescence spectrometer
10. Characterization (3): XPS and XAFS
11. Kinetics
