研究概述
隨著近年來快速的工業化與都市化,人們的生活雖日趨安逸,但許多文明帶來的挑戰亦隨之浮現,例如:環境污染、能源耗竭、以及傳染性疾病。本實驗室之研究方向為分子生物技術於能源、環境及醫學上之應用,目前主要的研究重點如下:
  • 生物啟發工程(Bioinspired Engineering)於酵素合成之調控機制上的應用並將其運用推廣至生質能源上。
  • 以蛋白質模組(Protein Module)回收高科技產業廢水中之貴重金屬或稀有元素。
  • 利用合成生物學(Synthetic Biology)技術來發展可自動搜尋汙染源並將目標汙染物分解(seek and destroy)之聰明細菌(smart microbes)。
  • 開發新型生物感測器(Biosensor)及其於環境及醫學上之應用。
  • 高通量(High-throughput)抗菌肽(anti-microbial peptide)篩選技術之開發與運用。
