International Workshop on Materials for Catalysts and Energy
The fastest growth of nanotechnolgy and biotechnology witnessed in recent
years has drawn considerable attentions on the developments of novel energy
sources and related research works. This particular issue is closely related to the
knowledge of materials science, catalytic researches and inorganic chemistry.
The applications can also be diverse to metals, biomaterials, medical and
inorganic devices.
This workshop is intended to bring the skills of the material and catalytic
sciences by providing lectures by front-line researchers to investigate the
following topics:
(1) catalysts for developing novel energy sources
(2) organic substrate activation by a metal center
(3) ligand reactions
(4) industrial homogeneous reactions
Four honorable speakers are invited for the workshop: Professor Pombeiro
who is the Vice-President (Class of Sciences) of the Academy of Sciences of
Lisbon (Portugal); Professor Guedes da Silvand from Universidade Tecnica
de Lisboa (Portugal); Professor Haukka from University of Joensuu (Finland),
and Dr. Loka Subramanyam Sarma, Fellow of Institute of Chemical Process
Engineering, Technical University of Clausthal (Germany).
The workshop also invited the prestigious researchers in Taiwan to share the
advanced research topics
Please Note:
1. Participation in the workshop is free.
2. However, please email the registration form to the following address before 01
February 2009 that we can prepare the materials for the meeting.
